Criminal reports, state and county court records, felony and misdemeanor arrest and convictions.
Criminal Reports | ![]() |
Criminal records are available at two levels, statewide repositories and county courts. Statewide criminal information is currently available in 32 states and Washington, D.C. The remaining 18 states either do not allow access by non-law enforcement entities or do not have a statewide repository. When statewide access is unavailable, county court records are searched. This method may take longer for some counties; however, county records are usually more current. All criminal information is limited to the past seven years unless you meet the requirements for extended records.

Notes
on Criminal Reports:
Many bureaus claim to provide Nationwide Criminal Histories. The only access available to nationwide criminal history is the FBI's National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Access to the NCIC is explicitly restricted to law enforcement agencies.
